GoodGrandma℠ Thoughts from Grandma’s Camp would like to share the IDEA of journaling. This is such a good IDEA we had to share it! Journaling at Grandma’s Camp is an amazing activity on so many levels. Having this a part of camp gives the grandkids a chance to practice their writing skills, formulate thoughts into words, and a way to reflect on Grandma’s Camp. In addition, the grandkids can write down their favorite or least favorite moments and keep a log of all the activities. It’s a wonderful way for them to be able to look back and remember what a great time they had with grandma. It also makes a great Grandma’s Camp souvenir.

Grandma Connie, who has held six camps, always blocked out time each day for the grandkids to sit down and write their thoughts. This also gave some much needed quiet time for Grandpa and Grandma!

I took this IDEA and used it at our recent family vacation. Each grandchild was given a small personalized Disney book. Each day I gave them stickers that went along with the daily theme. They could use the stickers as they chose to and write about the days events. It was a great activity for the kids, and a little quiet time for the parents.
