GoodGrandma℠ has a few Candy Cane IDEAS! Papa Rich bought Sweetarts Candy Canes and Starburst Candy Canes for the grandkids; they were a hit! Not only did the grandkids love them, but their parents too. Having new flavors of candy canes is a fun treat!

Stirring hot cocoa with a candy cane is an effortless way to make a warm and cozy memory. Another IDEA; a Peppermint Chip Milkshake from Chick-fil-A. Or you can make your own! Leigh Ann Wilkes with Your Homebased Mom has a great recipe. If you’re in the baking mood, Leigh Ann also has a Peppermint Double Chocolate Cookie recipe. Or try future GoodGrandma Kate’s simple recipe.

Chocolate Fudge Peppermint Cookies

  • One chocolate fudge cake mix
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 eggs
  • Chocolate chips
  • Crushed candy canes sprinkled on top
  • Bake at 350° for 10 minutes

Need a break from sugar? Here’s an IDEA, read The Legend of the Candy Cane by Lori Walburg and adapted by Pat Matuszak. “Discover an inspiring story of hope that reveals the Christian symbolism of a favorite Christmas candy—the candy cane.”
