GG Idea: I like to crochet… So, I decided to make each new grandchild a white blanket for their blessing day. I still have the white dress I was blessed in, and my three oldest girls were blessed in too. In addition to the dress, I have the booties and sweater, my great grandma, Mary Livingston crocheted for me. I love the sentimental value of these items and want to carry on the tradition of a handmade gift for such an important day. Whether a blessing day, christening or safe arrival of a newborn, this is a great gift idea to give a grandchild; something made by grandma. I have made four blankets to date, and need to start and complete one for new baby Romi, ASAP! I have a goal for myself, I would like to try to make a blanket for each of the grandchildren whom I became a grandma to after their arrival. They may choose to keep it and use it when they have children of their own. So, as far as my goal, perhaps in my free time I can just whip out eleven more blankets (haha, we shall see)?!
