Hi, Grannies of the world! I am Judy a.k.a Grandma Yoo-Hoo (sounds funny, right?). It started when my grand-kiddos were expected to come for a visit. I would watch for them and hide somewhere in the house (usually with a treat in hand). They would come in and ask where I was and Grandpa would say, “I don’t know? But she is somewhere in the house.” They would begin looking, and if they didn’t find me fast enough, I would call, “Yoo Hoo!” My voice would help them find me. Hence, they began calling me Grandma Yoo-Hoo.

I am the mother of three grown children and the grandmother of six. I have worked in a public school library for 32 years, and have a long list of favorite books. I have been asked by GoodGrandma to share the titles of several books for grandparents. These are books that I read aloud to students through the years, and they are near and dear to me because they reinforce the importance of grandparents in the lives of their grandchildren.  I hope you can find some of these books and have wonderful opportunities to cuddle on the sofa and read about the bond between grandparents and their grand-darlings.  I hope these books will help you remember some other titles you can share with us.  We will also be sharing some favorite holiday and other event-oriented books in the months to come.
