National Pet Day was founded by Colleen Paige in 2006 to “celebrate the joy pets bring to our lives and to create public awareness about the plight of many different kinds of animals awaiting a forever home in shelters and rescues all around the globe.” Colleen is a pet & family lifestyle expert and an animal welfare advocate. As always, we “Colleen’s” need to stick together. Go, Colleen!
GoodGrandma℠ loves our family pets (Marco and Polo), as well as our many furry grands (Bristol, Boston, Häsli, Knox, Rusty, Luna, Sookie 🐱, Winnie, Wesley, Kai, and Dory 🐟). We love them all so much, we’ve dedicated an entire section on our website to furry friends, and some not so furry.
