Can you believe social media wasn’t around 10 or 20 years ago? When you announced you were expecting a baby, you told your family and friends in person or you called them on the telephone. There weren’t the means to tell the world of the exciting news! Today, with the help of technology, you can tell the world in a matter of seconds through different social media apps. Here at GoodGrandma℠, we think it’s not a Grandma’s place (or anyone’s place really) to announce ANYTHING, especially expectant babies or gender reveals, on social media! It’s only appropriate to “announce” AFTER the mother or father have posted–or even better, asking the parents directly for the go ahead. The question we would like to pose is: What do YOU think are the rules of etiquette with social media when making an announcement?
