GoodGrandma℠ had the opportunity to try out some yummy Halloween goodies with some cute grandkids. We made lollipop ghosts and Oreo and Reeses Peanut Butter Cups bats.

For the ghosts we used large coffee filters and wrapped them around the lollipops. Next, we tied them off with orange wrapping ribbon. Lastly, we colored with a black Sharpie eyes and an open mouth; spooky! The ghosts were simple and easy to make. Courtney decided to get a little more creative. She poked a hole in the coffee filter and stuck the lollipop wrapper through the hole to create a ponytail for her ghost.

To make the bats we used Oreos, miniature Reese Peanut-Butter Cups, and candy eyes. We started by cutting the Oreos in half. Be careful when cutting. Use your knife as a saw to get a straight edge without breaking the cookie into several pieces. Although, you can eat the broken cookies! You wouldn’t want to waste a perfectly good cookie.

Next, we stuck one end of the cut moon shaped Oreo to the top of the unwrapped peanut-butter cups. You don’t need frosting. The filling inside of the Oreos make it easy to attach the bats wings to the bat body. Finally, we added some edible eyes with a small tube of white frosting. If you don’t have candy eyes, you can do what we did and use the Oreo cream filling as eyes. We had used all of the candy eyes, so we improvised and rolled the cream into little balls to make eyes.

Happy Yummy Halloween!
