DIY Candy Flowers

GoodGrandma℠ decided to try something new for grandkid’s dance recital treats. Papa Rich and I had many dance recitals to attend this past month. We love to see our grandchildren perform! Our first recital came up quickly, instead of flowers we took fun-size candy bar packs and silly mouth suckers. The suckers made for some cute pictures. For dance recitals number two and three, I made DIY candy flowers.

Start by coloring the coffee filters with a color of your choice. Spray the coffee filters with water, letting the color soak the coffee filter. Let dry. Cut the coffee filter halfway in the middle of the filter. Wrap a Lindor Truffle with two or three dried coffee filters. Tape the end of the last wrapped filter. Tape the flower to the one end of the Nerds Rope. Use a pipe cleaner to secure the flower to the rope and give it a finished look. Make as many additional flowers as desired. Tie the flowers together with a ribbon. TADA! You have DIY Candy Flowers to give your little performer.

Side Notes: The mini M&M’s were for younger siblings who are not yet performing. The Lindor Truffles are Grandma Colleen’s favorite candies! The grandchildren know where to find her stash. They tend to go to the drawer and get a truffle when visiting Grandma.
